A wall printer needs regular maintenance to stay stable, protect print quality, and extend the service life of key parts such as the printhead, rails, and control system. Many users are not very familiar with daily maintenance, but proper care can reduce failures, lower repair costs, and keep the machine working smoothly over time.
The printhead is one of the most important and sensitive parts of the machine, so special attention should be paid to its daily care.
When the wall printer is working normally, it is forbidden to rinse the printhead with cleaning fluid. Unnecessary cleaning may affect normal printing performance and increase the risk of damage.
If the wall printer is not used for more than three days, use moisturizing liquid to flush the ink inside the printhead. When flushing the printhead with a syringe, the force should be as small as possible. Do not use too much force, because there is an ink sac inside the printhead. If the pressure is too high, the ink sac may be damaged. A 10 ml syringe is recommended.
When the wall printer printhead is not used for more than seven days, rinse the remaining ink out with moisturizing liquid until there is no residual ink left in the printhead. Then seal it with plastic wrap and place it in a cool and dry environment.
It is forbidden to soak the printhead in cleaning liquid for a long time. The printhead should never be fully immersed in cleaning liquid.
Proper shutdown is an important part of maintenance.
1. Wipe the surface of the printhead with a non-woven fabric.
2. Seal the small frame as a whole with plastic wrap.
3. After wrapping, carefully check whether air can enter around the printhead surface. If there is any air leakage, reseal it immediately.
This helps prevent the printhead from drying out and protects it during idle periods.
The working environment also has a direct effect on machine stability and print quality.
It is recommended not to carry out construction in strong wind or rainy conditions, and the working area should have as little dust as possible. Dust may damage the printhead, ink system, and board over time.
Rodent control in the workshop is also important. Rats may enter running parts of the printer and cause short circuits or other damage. This kind of damage is usually not covered by warranty.
The movement system of the machine must also be maintained regularly.
The trolley track should be cleaned regularly and lubricated with sewing machine oil. At intervals, the track should first be cleaned with alcohol, then oiled again. This helps avoid damage to the track and slider caused by long-term dust accumulation.
Do not turn the machine on and off too frequently, as this may damage the control board and reduce overall machine stability.
The ink system should be managed carefully to avoid contamination or deterioration.
The ink in the ink bottle should always be sealed when not in use. Exposure to air may affect ink quality and eventually influence printing performance.
To maintain the printhead, use PE plastic wrap to seal it properly. This helps prevent drying and keeps the printhead in better working condition.
Daily maintenance is not complicated, but it is extremely important. Simple actions such as sealing the printhead, cleaning the track, protecting the machine from dust, and avoiding improper shutdown can greatly reduce failure rates. In the long run, this not only protects your machine, but also improves efficiency and reduces unexpected repair costs.
Good maintenance habits are essential for keeping a wall printer in reliable working condition. From printhead care and ink sealing to track cleaning and environmental protection, each step helps improve stability, extend service life, and maintain print quality. For anyone running or planning a wall printer business, proper daily maintenance is also a key part of reducing downtime, controlling costs, and delivering consistent results to customers.
